Bruce Hagen says in green tech media January, 2016, and it’s time for the solar and renewable energy lobby to get involved in carbon pricing policy. Why? One, because “carbon pricing is critical” to decarbonizing global energy in the next one-half century, and then there are more reasons. Well argued.
Where is the “surge” he refers to? Carbon pricing is the choice of national and regional leaders, energy industries, investment and banking as evidenced by the Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition representing “74 countries and 1000 industries”.
Carbon pricing is not on people’s minds in my neighborhood, I can tell from doing tabling for Citizens’ Climate Lobby at local events. It could be that the eight or so active CCL members in Billings will be catalysts. But in the meantime, we are having a good time learning how to listen.
